About the role

This is not a pure prompt-writing job, even though that is the title we are using. We need someone who can improve LLM outputs in a product used by sales teams that are impatient, busy, and very quick to reject generic AI text. You will work on prompts, yes, but also evaluation, context design, retrieval boundaries, and output structure. If your instinct is to chase cleverness before usefulness, this probably will not be a good fit. If your instinct is to make the output sharper, safer, and more usable in the hands of a real rep, it probably will.

Responsibilities

Design and improve prompts for account briefings, call summaries, and outbound message drafts
Build evaluation sets based on real customer tasks and failure modes
Work with design and product to shape the UX around AI confidence and human review
Partner with engineering on retrieval, context formatting, and output schema decisions
Document prompt changes, rationale, and measurable effects on quality metrics

Requirements

2+ years building prompt-driven or LLM-assisted product features
Prompt Engineering with a track record of improving output quality in live workflows
OpenAI API experience including function calling and structured outputs
Python for evaluation scripts and lightweight backend experimentation
LangChain or equivalent framework for orchestration and testable prompt pipelines
Strong product writing instinct — you can tell when an output sounds useful versus merely fluent
