About the role
Our claims team processes 800+ documents per week — medical reports, loss assessments, invoices, photos. Currently everything is read by a human, typed into our system, and then reviewed by a senior adjuster.
We want to automate the intake layer. Incoming documents get classified, key fields extracted (claim type, amount, dates, policy number), and pre-populated into our claims system (Guidewire). Adjuster only sees the edge cases.
We're not trying to automate the decision — just the data entry and triage. We estimate 60% of incoming claims are straightforward enough to pre-fill automatically.
Tech: Python for orchestration, GPT-4o for extraction, Guidewire API for push. You would design the pipeline and build it.
Requirements
Technical stack needed for this mission.
- – Experience building document extraction pipelines (invoices, forms, unstructured text)
- – GPT-4 Vision or similar multimodal LLM experience
- – API integration experience (ideally Guidewire or similar claims systems)
- – Comfortable working with sensitive data under GDPR constraints
- – EU timezone availability
