About the role

Our revenue reporting has reached the stage where everybody is using it and nobody fully trusts it. Finance has one view, RevOps has another, and product sometimes has a third depending on the metric. None of this is catastrophic yet, but it is exactly how long-term reporting problems become expensive. We need a senior data engineer to clean up the foundations. Expect subscription logic, billing edge cases, historical exceptions, and a lot of work that is quietly important.

Responsibilities

Rebuild the revenue analytics layer so ARR, NRR, churn, and expansion metrics have one trusted foundation
Design data quality tests and reconciliation checks against billing and finance source systems
Document metric logic in a form finance and analytics can both use confidently
Partner with FP&A, RevOps, and product analytics on reporting requirements and migration priorities
Set standards for testing and deploy process across the data team

Requirements

6+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering with ownership of financial or subscription data models
SQL at an expert level for transformation, performance tuning, and readable long-lived code
Snowflake in production including performance, governance, and cost management
Airflow or equivalent orchestration platform for reliable scheduled pipelines
Python for testing, validation tooling, and operational automation
ETL/ELT design experience in audited or finance-sensitive environments
