About the role

If batch is your comfort zone, this role will feel sharp at the edges. We process transaction and device signals continuously, and our risk teams need them clean, timely, and explainable. We are hiring a senior data engineer to improve the streaming layer that feeds both analytics and decisioning systems.

Responsibilities

  • Improve reliability and observability across streaming data pipelines
  • Build clean downstream datasets for analytics and ML teams
  • Reduce data latency and failure recovery time in critical flows
  • Partner with platform and risk teams on schema evolution and testing
  • Document pipeline behavior so incidents are faster to diagnose

Requirements

  • 6+ years in data engineering
  • Python for tooling and operational scripts
  • SQL for transformation logic and validation
  • Kafka for stream processing patterns and event flow design
  • Spark for large-scale processing workloads
  • ETL experience across mixed batch and streaming architectures
