About the role

Have you ever wondered which songs actually keep listeners on a platform versus which ones just get skipped after ten seconds? We don't care where you work from, only that you communicate clearly and own your work. What we have already: years of listening behavior data. What's missing: a senior data scientist who can turn that data into models the product team can actually act on.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze listening behavior data to identify retention drivers
  • Build predictive models for skip and completion rates
  • Partner with product teams to translate findings into features
  • Design and analyze experiments testing new recommendation logic
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a data science role with production impact
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, especially pandas and scikit-learn
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests
  • Comfortable communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in music or media data is a plus
