About the role

We already have a working recommendation engine, a solid data warehouse in Snowflake, and 3 years of user behavior data from our e-commerce platform. What we don't have is someone senior enough to turn all of this into a coherent data science strategy. You'll lead the analytics and modeling efforts: defining KPIs, building predictive models for lifetime value and demand forecasting, and presenting insights to the executive team via Power BI. The team includes two mid-level analysts and one junior data scientist who need technical mentorship and project direction. This is a high-visibility role. The CEO reads your dashboards weekly. If you want to shape how a growing company makes data-driven decisions, and you have the statistical chops and communication skills to back it up, we should talk.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the data science strategy and modeling roadmap
  • Build predictive models for customer LTV, churn, and demand forecasting
  • Mentor a team of two analysts and one junior data scientist
  • Present insights and recommendations to the executive team
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for business stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years in data science with a focus on business analytics
  • Expert-level Python and SQL
  • Strong statistical foundation (Bayesian methods, causal inference preferred)
  • Experience with Snowflake and business intelligence tools
  • Proven ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences
