About the role

Thirteen models in production. Four different deployment patterns. Zero standardization. That's where we are today, and that's exactly the problem you'll solve. We need a senior MLOps architect to unify our model lifecycle — from training to serving to monitoring — into a coherent, repeatable, self-service platform. Our ML teams are productive but each one reinvents the wheel. One team deploys on ECS, another on Lambda, a third uses SageMaker endpoints. You'll evaluate what works, design a reference architecture, and build the tooling that makes the right path the easy path. This is an architecture role with real implementation responsibility. You'll write the RFCs and the Terraform. You'll design the APIs and the Airflow DAGs. Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design a unified model deployment architecture across 13 production models
  • Build self-service tooling for ML teams to deploy and monitor models
  • Standardize CI/CD pipelines for model artifacts and serving endpoints
  • Own the MLflow registry and experiment tracking infrastructure
  • Write architectural RFCs and drive adoption across engineering teams

Requirements

  • 6+ years in MLOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering
  • Deep AWS expertise (ECS, SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions)
  • Strong Kubernetes and Docker skills
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling
  • Proven ability to drive architectural standardization in growing orgs
