Senior NLP Engineer

About the role

We already have a strong embedded analytics product that surfaces dashboards inside client apps. What we don't have yet is a natural language layer that lets end users ask questions about their own data directly instead of clicking through filters. We publish internally on technical approaches and encourage the team to read and apply relevant research, so you'll be expected to bring real NLP depth to this build. You'll own the RAG and retrieval architecture end to end, from ingestion of client schemas through to grounded natural language answers using Hugging Face models and the OpenAI API.

Responsibilities

  • Design and own the RAG architecture for natural language data queries
  • Fine-tune and evaluate Hugging Face models for schema understanding
  • Integrate LangChain orchestration with OpenAI API for answer generation
  • Continuously improve grounding accuracy against client schemas
  • Mentor other engineers on NLP and retrieval best practices

Requirements

  • 6+ years of NLP engineering experience
  • Deep hands-on experience with RAG architectures and LangChain
  • Strong Python skills and Hugging Face model experience
  • Familiarity with OpenAI API integration at scale
  • Track record mentoring engineers on NLP systems
