About the role

We serve fantasy sports operators who need player projections updated within minutes of a lineup change. The person in this role builds the models behind those projections. You'll combine historical performance data with real-time game state to keep projections accurate as conditions change during live games. It's a fast-paced environment where model changes go live the same week they're tested.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain player performance projection models
  • Update models in near-real-time during live games
  • Backtest projections against historical outcomes
  • Collaborate with the product team on new stat categories

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a data science role, sports experience a plus
  • Strong Python, pandas, and SQL skills
  • Comfortable working under live, time-sensitive conditions
  • Solid statistics fundamentals
