AI Audit Evidence Collection Automator

About the role

SOC 2 audits require evidence collection from 60 to 200 different controls depending on scope. Most of that evidence — access logs, change management records, security configurations, backup verification reports — exists in the systems being audited, but extracting and formatting it into the specific artifacts auditors expect takes 3 to 6 weeks of manual effort per audit cycle. We automate audit evidence collection for SaaS companies. Our platform connects to cloud environments, SaaS tools, and identity providers, extracts evidence artifacts on a schedule, formats them to auditor specifications, and maintains an always-current evidence library that makes point-in-time collection a thing of the past. As a junior engineer, you'll build and maintain the evidence collection connectors. Each connector pulls a specific type of evidence from a specific tool — AWS Config snapshots, Okta access reviews, GitHub branch protection settings — and formats it to our standardized evidence schema.

Responsibilities

  • Build evidence collection connectors for cloud and SaaS audit control sources
  • Maintain and update existing connectors as vendor APIs change
  • Write automated tests for connector reliability and data correctness
  • Build evidence formatting transformations to auditor-specification schemas
  • Monitor connector health and investigate evidence collection failures
  • Document connector architecture and audit control mapping

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Python development with REST API integration experience
  • SQL skills for evidence data extraction and transformation
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Interest in compliance, security, or enterprise software
  • Methodical debugging approach and strong documentation habits
