We're a 200-person fintech company headquartered in Amsterdam, operating across 12 European markets. Our data team is mature on the engineering side — we run a Snowflake warehouse, Azure-based pipelines, and a solid set of Power BI dashboards. What we've never had is someone dedicated to the intersection of business intelligence and AI-assisted analytics. We want to move beyond static dashboards into territory where anomaly detection, automated narrative generation, and simple forecast models are embedded into our reporting. We're looking for someone who can bridge both worlds: strong enough analytically to query and model our data, curious enough about AI to experiment with what's possible, and grounded enough to know when a bar chart is still the right answer.
Responsibilities
Own and maintain the company's core executive and operational dashboards in Power BI
Build SQL-based data models in Snowflake supporting new reporting requirements
Design and pilot AI-assisted analytics features: anomaly detection, automated summaries
Conduct ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership with clear written conclusions
Document data definitions, calculation logic, and dashboard update cadence
Requirements
3–5 years in business intelligence or analytics in a commercial setting
Strong SQL — comfortable with complex joins, CTEs, and window functions across Snowflake
Power BI development and DAX — you build dashboards executives actually use
Python for data processing, statistical analysis, and experimenting with AI-assisted features
Familiarity with Azure data services — Data Factory, Synapse, or equivalent
Basic statistics for interpreting data correctly and flagging misleading charts
English fluency required — Dutch or German is a genuine bonus
Benefits
Opportunity to define what AI-assisted BI looks like at a growing fintech
Full remote across EU (Amsterdam HQ for occasional meetings)
