AI Chatbot Multilingual Consistency Engineer

About the role

As a fully async team spread across 9 time zones, we believe great engineers don't need to be in the same room to ship a great product. Our conversational analytics platform already scores dialogue quality and tracks intent migration for dozens of chatbot deployments, but those scores are strongest in English and get noticeably shakier once a conversation switches languages mid-session. We need someone to build the checks that catch when a bot's tone, terminology, or intent handling drifts between languages so our clients get the same quality bar everywhere they deploy. You'll own this feature, working async with our conversational analytics lead across whatever hours work for you.

Responsibilities

  • Build checks that detect quality drift across languages in the same bot
  • Compare tone and terminology consistency between language variants
  • Integrate consistency checks into existing dialogue evaluation tooling
  • Work with RAG-based retrieval to align responses across languages
  • Document findings for client-facing support and localization teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with conversational AI or multilingual NLP
  • Experience with LangChain or similar RAG frameworks
  • Comfortable working fully async across time zones
  • Strong understanding of localization or multilingual product workflows
  • Experience with Hugging Face models for dialogue classification
