About the role

We're building the data backbone that insurers use to price climate risk before the next flood or wildfire season hits. You'll join as our Senior AI Climate Risk Underwriting Analyst, turning historical loss data and weather models into scores our carrier partners can act on directly. You'll own the full path from raw climate feeds to underwriting-ready outputs, working closely with actuaries who need numbers they can defend to regulators. No fluff — just models that ship and hold up under scrutiny during audits. Get this right and homeowners in high-risk zones get fairer premiums, while our carrier partners stop flying blind on climate exposure across their entire book.

Responsibilities

  • Build risk-scoring pipelines from raw climate and claims data
  • Validate model outputs against historical loss events
  • Partner with actuaries to translate scores into pricing inputs
  • Maintain audit trails for regulatory review

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production ML pipelines with Python and SQL
  • Experience with insurance, risk, or actuarial data a plus
  • Comfortable owning AWS-hosted data pipelines end to end
  • Strong grasp of statistical validation methods
