AI Clinical Documentation Improvement Engineer

James Yamamoto

Full-time · Job · New_York

About the role

We're building the next generation of AI-powered compliance tools for clinical trial sponsors, and our documentation stack is the part regulators scrutinize hardest. You'll design NLP systems that flag incomplete case report forms, reconcile inconsistent terminology across sites, and surface missing source documentation before it becomes a finding during audit season. This role reports directly to our Head of Clinical Data Systems and will shape how every future trial's paperwork gets built.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of documentation quality models from prototype to production
  • Partner with clinical operations to define what a compliant record actually looks like
  • Build retrieval pipelines that surface prior-trial precedent for reviewers
  • Reduce manual QC time across active trial sites

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production ML/NLP systems
  • Experience with regulated or clinical data environments
  • Comfortable working with LangChain and retrieval-augmented pipelines
  • Strong Python and cloud deployment skills

Benefits

  • Fully remote position
  • Competitive salary + equity
  • Health and dental insurance
  • Annual conference and learning budget
