About the role

We serve over 40 biopharma sponsors running Phase II and III trials across oncology and rare disease. Enrollment delays and imbalanced arms routinely push trial timelines by months, and sponsors are asking for statistically sound solutions faster than our current tooling can deliver. You'll own the modeling layer that assigns patients to trial arms while controlling for confounding covariates in near real time, working alongside biostatisticians and clinical operations leads who review every recommendation before it ships. Reliability and auditability matter as much as accuracy here — every balancing decision needs to be explainable to an FDA reviewer. The models you build will directly influence which patients are eligible for randomization across dozens of active trials.

Responsibilities

  • Own cohort balancing model design from data intake to arm assignment
  • Partner with biostatisticians to validate covariate adjustment logic
  • Build audit trails that satisfy FDA regulatory review standards
  • Monitor live trials for enrollment drift and rebalance recommendations

Requirements

  • 5+ years building statistical models in a regulated environment
  • Strong Python and SQL skills with production ML experience
  • Familiarity with clinical trial design and biostatistics
  • Comfort working directly with regulatory and compliance teams
