About the role

You'll be the second freelancer joining a compliance automation pod of 6, working alongside our existing regulatory filing analysts on a well-scoped calendar project. The goal is simple: build a system that ingests regulatory deadlines from multiple jurisdictions and automatically populates a shared compliance calendar, replacing a manually updated spreadsheet that's already caused two missed filings this year. This is a defined three-month freelance engagement with a clear handoff plan.

Responsibilities

  • Build ingestion pipelines pulling regulatory deadlines from multiple sources
  • Own the automated calendar population and conflict detection logic
  • Partner with compliance analysts to validate jurisdiction coverage
  • Document the system for internal handoff at engagement close

Requirements

  • 2+ years with Python and workflow automation tools like Airflow
  • Comfortable working independently on a scoped freelance project
  • Experience with regulatory or compliance data a plus
  • Available for a defined 3-month engagement
