AI Component Library Drift Detector

Naomi Weber

Full-time · Job · New_York

About the role

Our design system tools already keep component libraries and Figma files in sync for client design teams, but the moment a developer hand-tweaks a button in code without updating the source file, the two start drifting apart quietly. Nobody notices until a designer flags a visual inconsistency weeks later. This role builds a detector that compares rendered UI output against the design system source and flags visual drift before it spreads across a product.

Responsibilities

  • Compare rendered UI screenshots against design system source components
  • Flag visual drift with enough detail for a designer to act on quickly
  • Work with the Figma-to-Code team to reduce false positive drift alerts
  • Maintain the detection pipeline as new component types are added

Requirements

  • Some experience with image comparison or visual regression techniques
  • Comfortable with basic computer vision and SQL
  • Interest in design systems or frontend tooling
  • Attention to detail when comparing visual output

Benefits

  • Fully remote entry-level role
  • Structured mentorship from senior design engineers
  • Health insurance included
  • Clear growth path within the design tooling team
