AI Credential Stuffing Detection Engineer

About the role

You'll be the third detection engineer on a team of 11, working directly with our SOC analysts who triage alerts around the clock. Our stack is Python, Kafka for event streaming, and a feature store that scores login attempts in real time. In this role you'll build models that separate legitimate password manager and mobile app logins from automated credential stuffing attempts, then wire those scores into our authentication gateway. Our clients include mid-market financial services companies where a single successful account takeover can trigger a regulatory incident. Reliability and low false-positive rates are non-negotiable, because every blocked login is a real customer we might be turning away.

Responsibilities

  • Build detection models for automated login abuse patterns
  • Wire real-time scores into the authentication gateway
  • Partner with SOC analysts on alert triage feedback loops
  • Reduce false positive rates without weakening detection
  • Maintain feature pipelines that feed the scoring models

Requirements

  • 4+ years in fraud, abuse, or security detection systems
  • Experience with streaming data pipelines such as Kafka
  • Strong Python and applied statistics background
  • Comfortable working alongside a 24/7 SOC team
  • Experience with AWS-based infrastructure
