About the role

Stolen credentials, leaked databases, and attack planning happen on dark web forums days or weeks before they affect our clients. Our monitoring system crawls these sources, extracts relevant threat intelligence, and alerts security teams when their organization or assets are mentioned. The NLP challenge: dark web text is deliberately obfuscated, uses evolving slang, mixes languages, and is often encoded to evade automated monitoring. You'll build the NLP pipeline that handles this hostile text environment: language identification for mixed-language posts, entity extraction that recognizes obfuscated organization names and product references, intent classification that distinguishes sales listings from discussion from planning, and topic tracking that follows threat narratives as they develop across threads and platforms. The threat intelligence team is six engineers. You'll be the senior NLP engineer who designs the text understanding pipeline, working alongside OSINT analysts who validate extraction accuracy and provide the domain expertise that keeps the models calibrated to evolving threat actor communication patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP pipelines for obfuscated dark web text analysis
  • Design entity extraction handling deliberate name obfuscation
  • Classify threat actor intent across multilingual forum content
  • Track evolving threat narratives across platforms and threads
  • Adapt models as threat actor communication patterns change
  • Collaborate with OSINT analysts on extraction validation

Requirements

  • 6+ years in NLP with experience on adversarial or noisy text
  • Strong PyTorch and Hugging Face skills for model development
  • Experience with entity extraction in hostile text environments
  • Understanding of cybersecurity threat intelligence concepts
  • Ability to work with sensitive and disturbing content professionally
