About the role

We manage data pipelines for 30 enterprise clients, and every one of them asks the same question: where does my data go, who has access, and is it compliant? Our governance platform answers these questions automatically — tracking data lineage, classifying sensitive fields, and generating compliance reports for GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific regulations. As a junior data governance analyst, you'll help maintain the classification engine: reviewing automated PII detection results, validating data lineage graphs against actual pipeline behavior, and building the dashboards that give clients visibility into their data compliance posture. You'll learn data governance from the ground up — privacy regulations, data classification frameworks, lineage tracking, and the technical systems that enforce it all. Within six months, you'll understand enterprise data compliance better than most mid-career analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate automated PII detection across client datasets
  • Maintain data lineage graphs and verify accuracy against pipeline behavior
  • Build compliance dashboards for GDPR and CCPA reporting
  • Document data classification decisions and governance procedures
  • Assist senior analysts with client data audit preparations

Requirements

  • Python and SQL proficiency for data analysis
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
  • Strong attention to detail for data classification work
  • Interest in data privacy and compliance frameworks
  • Clear written communication for documentation
