About the role

Our data platform team runs fully async across four time zones, with almost no standing meetings — just clear documentation and ownership. New data domains take our platform team nearly a month to onboard properly today, mostly due to manual schema registration and access provisioning. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints and clear ownership, building the automation that takes a new domain from request to fully onboarded in days instead of weeks, with async written updates replacing most live syncs.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated onboarding workflows for new data mesh domains
  • Automate schema registration and access provisioning
  • Partner with domain owners to validate onboarding completeness
  • Reduce manual steps in the domain onboarding checklist

Requirements

  • 3+ years in data engineering or platform engineering
  • Strong Python, SQL and Airflow experience
  • Familiarity with data mesh or domain-oriented architectures
  • Comfortable working async across time zones
