About the role

Data quality incidents get resolved but rarely properly documented, which means the same root causes quietly resurface months later across different pipelines. We're building a tool that automatically drafts a postmortem the moment a major data quality incident is resolved, pulling in the affected pipelines, root cause signals, and remediation steps from our existing observability stack. You'll build this on top of our data catalog infrastructure, working closely with the governance and platform teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build a postmortem generation pipeline triggered by resolved data quality incidents
  • Pull affected pipeline, root cause, and remediation data from the observability stack
  • Draft structured postmortem summaries for governance team review
  • Tag recurring root cause patterns across postmortems for trend analysis

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience with Python, SQL, and ETL pipelines
  • Basic familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
  • Interest in data governance and incident management
  • Comfortable working with Snowflake or similar data warehouses
