AI Deforestation Supply Chain Risk Scorer

Chloe Schneider

Contract · Job · London

About the role

We believe AI should hold supply chains accountable, not just optimize them for cost. Our team of climate data engineers and two former forestry researchers builds the tools that let sustainability teams trace commodity sourcing back to deforestation risk at the plot level. Our product already tracks carbon accounting and ESG disclosures for dozens of clients. What we need from you: a risk scoring model that flags suppliers sourcing from high-deforestation-risk regions, built on a six-month contract with a clear path to renewal if the pilot with our largest client succeeds.

Responsibilities

  • Build deforestation risk scoring models at the supplier plot level
  • Integrate satellite and commodity trade data into scoring pipelines
  • Partner with sustainability teams to validate risk thresholds
  • Document methodology for external ESG audits

Requirements

  • 3+ years in data science, ideally with geospatial or ESG data
  • Strong Python and pandas experience
  • Familiarity with supply chain or sustainability data
  • Available for an initial 6-month contract

Benefits

  • Fully remote across European time zones
  • Competitive contract rate
  • Path to full-time conversion after pilot
  • Flexible working hours
