AI Ethics & Governance Specialist

About the role

The EU AI Act is here, and our clients — mid-size tech companies deploying AI in healthcare and finance — need to comply. Most of them don't know where to start. That's where you come in. This is a 6-month contract to help us build an AI governance framework that our clients can adopt. You'll audit existing AI systems for compliance gaps, design risk assessment templates, and build automated monitoring tools that flag potential issues before regulators do. We need someone who can read legal text and write Python. You'll translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications, then work with our engineering team to implement them. If you've worked at the intersection of AI policy and technical implementation, this role will feel natural.

Responsibilities

  • Audit client AI systems for EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF compliance
  • Design risk assessment frameworks and templates for AI deployments
  • Build automated monitoring tools for bias and fairness metrics
  • Translate regulatory requirements into technical implementation specs
  • Deliver governance documentation and training materials for client teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years in AI governance, compliance, or responsible AI
  • Familiarity with EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and related frameworks
  • Python skills for building monitoring and evaluation tools
  • Strong writing skills for governance documentation
  • Experience working with regulated industries
