About the role

We're building the social listening layer brands use to catch a hashtag trend on day one instead of day ten, when it's already fading. Small analytics pod, three of us, working directly with the brand strategy team that turns your signals into content decisions within hours, not weeks. You'll track how hashtags rise, peak, and decay across platforms, and build the model that flags which ones are worth a brand jumping on before the trend is already over.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build models tracking hashtag trend lifecycle stages
  • Flag high-potential trends early enough for brands to act
  • Maintain data pipelines pulling from multiple social platforms
  • Partner with brand strategy on trend interpretation
  • Backtest trend detection against historical viral moments

Requirements

  • Experience with time-series or trend analysis
  • Comfortable with SQL, Python, and statistics
  • Familiarity with social media data quirks and noise
  • Part-time availability, roughly 20 hours per week
