About the role

Our contract redlining and litigation prediction tools already save law firm clients hours on document review, but their billing teams keep flagging a separate problem: outside counsel invoices routinely violate client billing guidelines, and catching those violations still means a paralegal reading every line item by hand. This contract role builds an auditing model that checks incoming legal invoices against client billing guidelines and flags likely violations before payment approval.

Responsibilities

  • Build models that check legal invoices against client billing guidelines
  • Flag likely billing guideline violations for paralegal review
  • Analyze billing patterns across outside counsel firms over time
  • Deliver a working pipeline the client billing team can operate independently

Requirements

  • Experience with rule-based or ML-assisted document auditing
  • Strong SQL and Spark skills for large invoice datasets
  • Some familiarity with legal billing practices a plus
  • Ability to work independently on a defined contract scope
