AI Litigation Risk Forecasting Analyst

About the role

We serve over 200 enterprise clients in the legal sector, and many of them ask us the same question before filing: how likely is this dispute to end up in court, and what will it cost if it does. Breva AI's forecasting models turn historical case data into risk estimates our clients can act on before signing off on strategy. In this role you'll extend our existing risk-scoring models to cover new dispute categories, working closely with in-house counsel at client firms to validate that our outputs match what experienced litigators actually expect. You'll spend real time in SQL cleaning messy case history data before any modeling happens. The forecasts you build directly shape multi-million dollar litigation budget decisions for our clients, so accuracy and explainability both matter as much as raw predictive power.

Responsibilities

  • Extend litigation risk-scoring models to new dispute categories
  • Validate model outputs against feedback from in-house legal teams
  • Clean and structure historical case data from multiple court record sources
  • Build Tableau dashboards that let non-technical stakeholders interrogate model outputs
  • Document model assumptions for client-facing audit reviews

Requirements

  • Experience building and validating statistical or ML risk models
  • Solid SQL skills for working with messy, unstructured legal datasets
  • Comfort explaining model limitations to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with scikit-learn or equivalent modeling libraries
  • Interest in legal or regulatory domains a plus
