About the role

Our mission is to shorten the drug discovery timeline from 12 years to under 5. The models you build here aren't benchmarks — they're decision inputs for clinical teams working on compounds that may treat rare diseases affecting fewer than 10,000 people globally. The pharmacokinetic modeling role is about predicting how compounds behave inside the body: absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination. We have proprietary assay data, collaborations with two CROs, and a pipeline of over 200 candidate compounds under evaluation. You'd own the PK/PD prediction module within our broader drug candidate scoring platform. You'll work closely with our medicinal chemistry team and computational biologists. Deep ML expertise is required; prior pharma experience is valued but not mandatory if you're fast at domain acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Build and validate ML models predicting ADME properties from molecular descriptors
  • Integrate PK/PD outputs into the broader candidate scoring pipeline
  • Design experiments to validate predictions against in-vivo assay results
  • Own model versioning, experiment tracking, and retraining triggers via MLflow
  • Collaborate with chemists to iterate on feature representations of molecular structures

Requirements

  • 5+ years in applied ML with experience in scientific or biomedical modeling
  • Proficiency in Python and at least one deep learning framework
  • Comfortable with statistical modeling and uncertainty quantification
  • Ability to work at the intersection of biology, chemistry, and ML
  • PhD or equivalent research experience preferred
