About the role

When a government changes a tax rate, raises minimum wage, or tightens environmental regulations, companies need to know the financial impact before it takes effect. Our platform models the cascading effects of policy changes on business operations — supply chain costs, workforce expenses, compliance requirements — and delivers impact estimates within days of a policy announcement. You'll build the simulation models: encoding policy rules into quantitative frameworks, modeling how policy changes propagate through cost structures, estimating confidence intervals on impact projections, and calibrating models against historical policy changes where the actual impact is known. Policy modeling is applied economics with engineering rigor. The models need to be fast enough to deliver estimates while the policy debate is still active, and transparent enough for clients to understand the assumptions behind every projection.

Responsibilities

  • Build simulation models quantifying policy change impacts on business operations
  • Encode regulatory rules into computational frameworks for automated analysis
  • Model cost propagation through supply chains and workforce structures
  • Calibrate impact projections against historical policy change outcomes
  • Present impact estimates with transparent assumptions and confidence intervals

Requirements

  • 3+ years in economic modeling, policy analysis, or quantitative consulting
  • Strong Python and R skills for simulation modeling
  • Statistical expertise for causal estimation and uncertainty quantification
  • SQL proficiency for querying economic and business datasets
  • Ability to communicate quantitative findings to business audiences
