AI Robustness Certification Engineer

About the role

Our mission is to make AI deployments provably safe before they reach real users. Elara Intelligence builds robustness certification toolkits used by AI teams at regulated industries — healthcare, financial services, and government — to formally validate that a model will behave within defined performance bounds under adversarial conditions. You'll design and implement stress-testing frameworks, build automated certification pipelines, and work with external AI teams to run their models through our evaluation suite. This is not about running a few accuracy checks — it's about formal robustness testing under distribution shift, adversarial perturbation, and edge case injection. We collaborate with academic groups publishing on certified robustness and expect this role to contribute to our public research output. Responsibilities

  • Design stress-testing and robustness certification frameworks for ML models
  • Build automated pipelines for adversarial perturbation and distribution shift testing
  • Partner with external AI teams to run certification engagements
  • Contribute to internal research publications on certified robustness
  • Maintain and extend the Elara certification SDK

Requirements

  • 5+ years ML research or engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of adversarial ML and robustness metrics
  • Strong Python skills with PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Familiarity with formal verification concepts is a plus
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-ML stakeholders
