AI Satellite Change Detection QA Engineer

Aaron Eriksson

Full-time · Job · London

About the role

Our satellite imagery models flag deforestation, flooding, and construction changes across millions of square kilometers every week. The problem is that false positives erode trust with the analysts who rely on our alerts, and we need someone to fix that at the source. As our AI Satellite Change Detection QA Engineer, you'll build the evaluation harnesses that catch model regressions before they reach production, and work with the modeling team to root-cause recurring failure patterns across imaging conditions. You'll be one of six engineers on the imagery team, reporting directly into our head of computer vision, with real ownership over what 'production ready' means for our detection models.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain evaluation benchmarks for change detection models
  • Investigate false positive and false negative failure clusters
  • Build automated regression testing for new model releases
  • Report quality metrics to the CV team weekly

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with computer vision models in production
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Comfortable working with Docker-based ML pipelines
  • Experience with satellite or aerial imagery is a plus

Benefits

  • Remote-first team
  • Annual learning stipend
  • Health insurance
