AI Seller Payout Reconciliation Engineer

About the role

You'll be the fourth data engineer on a team of eleven, working directly with finance and marketplace operations. Sellers on our platform lose trust every time a payout is delayed or miscalculated, and our reconciliation pipeline still relies on manual spot checks. This role exists to close that gap: build the automated matching logic that catches discrepancies before sellers ever notice them.

Responsibilities

  • Own the payout reconciliation pipeline between orders, fees, and payouts
  • Build anomaly checks that flag mismatched seller balances automatically
  • Partner with finance to define acceptable reconciliation tolerances
  • Reduce manual spot-check hours through automated exception queues

Requirements

  • 3+ years building ETL pipelines in Python and SQL
  • Experience with Databricks or a comparable lakehouse platform
  • Comfortable working closely with finance stakeholders
  • Track record of shipping reconciliation or billing systems
