About the role

Supply chains broke in 2020 and procurement teams are still rebuilding their risk detection playbooks. Our platform monitors 120,000 supplier relationships for 340 corporate clients, surfacing early warning signals before disruptions hit — financial stress, geopolitical events, capacity constraints, quality incidents. Right now, that monitoring is mostly rules and alerts. The next phase is predictive: knowing 6 weeks ahead that a supplier is likely to have a problem. As a junior analyst on the risk intelligence team, you'll build and maintain the data pipelines and scoring models that power supplier risk dashboards. You'll work with financial data, news sentiment, shipping records, and quality incident reports — cleaning, transforming, and feeding them into risk scoring models that procurement managers rely on every morning. You'll learn fast. Your manager has 10 years in supply chain risk; the data scientist you'll work with will teach you the modeling side. Within a year, you'll own specific industry verticals independently.

Responsibilities

  • Build data pipelines ingesting financial, news, and logistics data for supplier monitoring
  • Maintain and improve supplier risk scoring models
  • Create risk dashboards and weekly intelligence reports for client procurement teams
  • Investigate anomalies flagged by monitoring systems
  • Help define new risk signals and data sources as the model matures
  • Document data sources, transformations, and model features

Requirements

  • 1+ year of data analysis experience with SQL and Python
  • Comfortable working with multiple data sources and joining messy datasets
  • Interest in supply chain, procurement, or financial risk domains
  • Basic understanding of classification or scoring models
  • Strong attention to detail and systematic problem-solving
