About the role

The fraud models you'll ship will screen millions of submitted documents every month across our banking clients. This role focuses on detecting synthetically generated or tampered identity documents before they reach underwriting. Reliability and auditability are non-negotiable in this space; every flagged document needs a defensible reason attached to it. You'll work with a team of four fraud engineers and a compliance analyst to keep false positive rates low while catching increasingly sophisticated forgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Build detection models for synthetically generated identity documents
  • Maintain low false-positive rates while catching new fraud patterns
  • Document flagging rationale for compliance review
  • Partner with underwriting on edge-case escalations

Requirements

  • 5+ years in fraud detection or computer vision
  • Experience with pytorch and statistics for model evaluation
  • Comfortable working in a regulated financial environment
