About the role

Ever tried training a vision model with a dataset that's ninety percent duplicates? That's the problem our synthetic data team solves for computer vision customers who can't collect enough labeled real-world images for rare defect or edge-case scenarios. You'll join a small group that already builds tabular and text synthetic data — this role extends that work into images. You'll curate, deduplicate, and score synthetic image datasets generated by our internal pipelines before they're benchmarked against real-world holdout sets. We expect you to think like a researcher: question whether a generated dataset actually represents the distribution it's supposed to, and flag when it doesn't before a customer wastes a training run on it.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and deduplicate synthetic image datasets before benchmarking
  • Score generated datasets against real-world holdout distributions
  • Flag distributional gaps or artifacts in synthetic image sets
  • Document dataset lineage and generation parameters for reproducibility
  • Collaborate with the tabular synthesis team on shared quality metrics

Requirements

  • Experience with computer vision datasets and basic image processing
  • Comfortable with pandas and scikit-learn for dataset analysis
  • Understanding of statistical distribution comparison methods
  • Detail-oriented approach to data quality auditing
