AI Third-Party Risk Compliance Analyst

About the role

We believe AI should make compliance simpler — not just faster. Right now, third-party risk assessment is the most manual part of our clients' compliance programs. A vendor questionnaire arrives, a human reads 80 pages, assigns risk levels, and escalates. Our job is to automate that without losing the nuance that makes the assessment meaningful. As our AI Third-Party Risk Compliance Analyst, you'll build the NLP pipeline that parses vendor security questionnaires, maps responses to risk categories, and flags inconsistencies or gaps that warrant human escalation. The output feeds into our clients' GRC platforms via API. This is a mid-level role with real ownership. You'll define the risk taxonomy in partnership with our compliance subject matter experts, own the model pipeline, and participate in quarterly enterprise client reviews to calibrate accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP models to parse and classify vendor questionnaire responses
  • Develop risk scoring logic calibrated with in-house compliance experts
  • Design escalation rules that surface edge cases requiring human review
  • Integrate risk assessment outputs with client GRC platforms via API
  • Monitor and retrain models as questionnaire formats and standards evolve

Requirements

  • 3+ years in data science or NLP, ideally in compliance, legal, or risk domains
  • Strong Python skills and NLP pipeline experience
  • Ability to collaborate with non-technical SMEs to define qualitative labels
  • Familiarity with GRC frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) a strong plus
