About the role

Have you ever wondered why the same seat at a stadium costs three times more depending on when you buy it? That's the pricing logic we're trying to build better forecasts for. Trivon Data already builds player and game analytics for pro sports organizations. Our product is expanding into ticket demand forecasting, and the team behind it is small: two data scientists and now, hopefully, you. We expect you to own the demand forecasting models for a defined three-month scope. This is a freelance engagement tied to a specific deliverable, with the door open for follow-on work if the pilot lands well with our first client team.

Responsibilities

  • Build demand forecasting models for event ticket pricing
  • Analyze historical sales and pricing data across multiple venues
  • Validate forecasts against actual sell-through rates
  • Present findings to the two-person data science team weekly
  • Document modeling assumptions for the pilot client handoff

Requirements

  • Python, SQL, and pandas experience with time-series or demand data
  • Statistics background relevant to forecasting
  • Interest in sports or live event industries
  • Available for a defined three-month freelance engagement
  • 0-2 years experience welcome
