AI Trend Forecasting Social Analyst

About the role

The forecasts you'll build get read by brand teams deciding what to post next week, at companies with millions of followers watching their every move. Fast-moving team. Big problem. We need someone who ships. Polvex Studio already tracks sentiment and crisis signals across social platforms for our clients — the next step is forecasting which topics are about to trend before they peak, so brand teams can get ahead of the conversation instead of reacting to it. You'll build the time-series models behind these forecasts, working with our two senior analysts to validate predictions against what actually trends each week.

Responsibilities

  • Build time-series models forecasting emerging social media trends
  • Validate forecasts weekly against actual trending topic data
  • Clean and structure social listening data from multiple platform APIs
  • Support senior analysts with ad-hoc trend research requests
  • Document model assumptions and known blind spots

Requirements

  • Python and SQL fundamentals for time-series data work
  • Statistics coursework or experience relevant to forecasting
  • Interest in social media and cultural trend analysis
  • Pandas experience for data wrangling
  • 0-2 years experience welcome
