About the role

We run as a distributed team with no fixed hub, which works fine for building software but gets harder when the deliverable is a statistical claim client executives will act on. We're hiring a senior data scientist to bring more analytical rigor to how we quantify process inefficiencies for clients. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with the product and delivery leads. Using Python, R, and solid statistical method, you'll turn messy process logs into defensible, client-ready findings.

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methods to quantify process bottlenecks from raw event logs
  • Build analysis pipelines in Python and R for client deliverables
  • Validate findings with rigorous statistical testing before delivery
  • Present client-ready analysis in collaboration with delivery leads
  • Improve internal analytical tooling over time

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a data science or applied statistics role
  • Strong Python skills including pandas and numpy
  • Working knowledge of R for statistical analysis
  • Solid grounding in statistical inference and hypothesis testing
  • Comfortable working async across a distributed team
