About the role

Our mission is to make marketplace search fair for small sellers who can't afford to pay for placement the way large sellers can. What we have already: a search relevance system built by a strong senior team. What's missing: a part-time junior analyst who can help monitor fairness metrics across seller segments and flag concerning patterns before they affect real sellers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor fairness metrics across seller segments
  • Build simple reports flagging concerning search patterns
  • Write SQL queries to pull seller performance data
  • Support senior analysts with ad-hoc data requests
  • Document findings for the fairness review process

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience with data analysis
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Basic statistics background
  • Available for 20-25 hours per week
  • Genuine interest in marketplace fairness issues
