We handle back-office operations for a network of 15 e-commerce brands — inventory management, supplier emails, order routing, customer escalation triage. A significant portion of this is still done by people copying and pasting between systems. We know. We've been meaning to fix it for two years. We're finally doing it, and we're using AI to do it properly: OpenAI API calls, LangChain for workflow logic, Python scripts connecting our internal tools, and Docker for deployment. We need a junior specialist to help us build these automations. Not a senior developer — someone early in their career who thinks logically, writes clean Python, and gets genuinely excited when a workflow that used to take 30 minutes runs automatically in 90 seconds. We have a small team of two developers who will guide you. The work is practical, visible, and satisfying.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain Python-based automation scripts for recurring operational tasks
Integrate OpenAI API for tasks like email classification, summarisation, and response drafting
Design LangChain workflows for multi-step document and data processing
Document every automation with clear instructions so non-technical team members can understand it
Monitor running automations and handle failures or edge cases as they appear
