Junior AI Localization Cost Estimation Analyst

About the role

Every new market a media client wants to enter starts with the same question: how much will localization actually cost, and how long will it take? We serve streaming and media clients localizing content into over 20 languages, and today that estimate is a guess based on whoever remembers the last similar project. We don't care where you work from. We care about output, clear communication, and a genuine interest in the data behind translation and dubbing costs. In this role you'll help build a model that estimates localization cost and timeline from source content length, language pair, and content type.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of localization cost and timeline estimation models
  • Analyze historical project data to validate cost predictions
  • Build simple reporting tools for client-facing project managers
  • Communicate findings clearly to the localization operations team

Requirements

  • Interest in linguistics, media localization, or project economics
  • Basic Python skills and comfort working with historical project data
  • Strong written communication for async collaboration
