About the role

A small business owner in this city can wait months for a permit application to clear four different departments, each one requiring the same information typed in a slightly different format. LangChain and the OpenAI API power the extraction logic that reads incoming permit applications and routes them to the right municipal department automatically. In this junior role you'll help validate extraction accuracy against real applications submitted by city residents, working under a senior engineer's guidance to catch cases where the model misreads handwriting or misroutes an application to the wrong department.

Responsibilities

  • Validate permit application extraction accuracy against real submissions
  • Flag misrouted applications for senior engineer review
  • Support testing of extraction logic against new application formats
  • Document recurring extraction errors for model retraining

Requirements
