Junior AI Sports Merchandising Analyst

About the role

We work with professional sports franchises to help them decide what merchandise to stock and where. The person in this role will join our analytics team of six, reporting into the head of retail insights, and support the dashboards that team merchandising managers check every morning. Our product blends jersey sales data, roster changes, and regional fan sentiment into restocking recommendations used across a dozen franchises. We expect you to be curious about the data, comfortable asking questions in front of non-technical stakeholders, and eager to learn how sports business decisions actually get made.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain SQL queries feeding merchandising dashboards
  • Support senior analysts in validating restocking recommendations
  • Create Tableau visualizations for franchise merchandising managers
  • Help document data definitions used across the analytics team

Requirements

  • Solid SQL fundamentals and some exposure to Python or pandas
  • Interest in sports business or retail analytics
  • Comfortable presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders
