Junior AI Test Data Drift Alerting Analyst

About the role

Our test suites are growing faster than our ability to trust them. We're looking for someone who can help us catch a specific, sneaky problem: test fixtures that quietly drift out of sync with production data shapes. You will build lightweight alerting that compares test fixture schemas and value distributions against current production samples, flagging drift before it causes false-negative test runs. You'll report to our test automation lead and work alongside engineers who've been maintaining this test suite for years, learning the codebase while contributing real fixes from your first sprint.

Responsibilities

  • Build alerting that compares test fixture data against production data distributions
  • Own the weekly drift report reviewed by the test automation team
  • Investigate flagged drift cases and propose fixture updates
  • Maintain the Airflow DAGs scheduling drift comparison jobs
  • Document common drift patterns for the wider engineering team

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Python experience, professional or personal projects
  • Basic familiarity with data pipelines or workflow orchestration tools
  • Curious, detail-oriented approach to debugging data mismatches
  • Comfortable asking questions and pairing with senior engineers
