About the role

Security teams receive hundreds of vulnerability alerts per day. Most are noise: low-severity CVEs in components that aren't exposed, known exploits for software versions that were patched months ago, or theoretical vulnerabilities that require physical access to exploit. The analysts who triage these alerts spend 70% of their time on findings that pose no real risk. We're building the ML system that filters the noise. This is a 6-month contract focused on the data analysis that feeds that ML system. You'll review vulnerability alert datasets, label triage decisions with severity context, analyze which features correlate with analyst escalation decisions, and build the dashboards that help security managers understand their alert distribution. The senior ML engineers build the models; you're generating the ground truth and analysis that makes those models useful. This is a great role for someone interested in cybersecurity analytics who wants to build real experience without a deep security background. You'll learn vulnerability classification, CVSS scoring, and the factors that determine real-world exploitability from analysts who have years of hands-on experience.

Fully remote.
