About the role

We are a climate-focused venture capital fund. We have €340 million under management across two funds, investing in early-stage companies working on decarbonisation across energy, transport, agriculture, and industrial processes. We are a small team — sixteen people — and we operate with a high degree of autonomy and trust. Every person here chose this work because they believe the problem is real and urgent. We are not looking for someone who needs to be convinced that climate change matters. We are looking for someone who wants to use data rigorously to make better investment decisions and to understand the performance of the companies we have already backed. The data analyst role supports our investment team and portfolio team with the quantitative analysis that underpins both new deal evaluation and portfolio monitoring. This means sourcing and cleaning data on climate technology markets, building the models we use to stress-test financial projections from founders, and maintaining the dashboards that track how our portfolio companies are performing against their stated climate impact metrics. This is a junior role. We will invest in your development. We expect you to come in curious, technically capable, and willing to learn the domain from the people around you.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the portfolio monitoring dashboard tracking financial performance and climate impact KPIs across our 28 portfolio companies
  • Support the investment team with data analysis for new deal evaluation: market sizing, comparable company benchmarking, and financial model stress-testing
  • Source, clean, and synthesise climate technology market data from public and proprietary data sources
  • Build the quarterly LP reporting data pack — accurate, clearly formatted, and delivered on time
  • Contribute to the team's knowledge base on climate technology sectors where we are actively investing

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of data analysis experience or strong quantitative academic background with demonstrable applied data work
  • Python for data wrangling, analysis, and building reproducible reporting pipelines — you should be past tutorials and working on real problems
  • SQL for extracting and joining data from our portfolio databases, CRM, and market data providers
  • Tableau for building portfolio performance dashboards that the investment team and our LPs can navigate
  • Statistics at an undergraduate level: regression, correlation, basic time-series — you don't need to be a statistician but you need to know when a correlation isn't causal
  • Curiosity about climate technology and investment — you will pick up the domain knowledge, but the motivation has to be genuine

Benefits

  • €42,000 – €54,000 base salary depending on experience
  • Full remote within the EU — team weeks in Amsterdam twice per year
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Development budget of €1,500 per year — use it on courses, conferences, or books
  • Front-row seat to early-stage climate technology — you will learn things here that you cannot learn anywhere else
