About the role
Six ML models in production. All deployed via cron jobs. No monitoring. Retraining is a manual process involving two engineers and a lot of optimism. We know this needs to change and we know we're not going to fix it without outside help. We need a consultant who has done this migration before — legacy ML infrastructure to a modern MLOps stack — and can do it with us in roughly three months. We have a cooperative team, good documentation, and the budget to do it properly.

- Propose and agree a target architecture with the engineering team
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for model training and deployment
- Set up experiment tracking and model registry
- Deliver a complete handover with documentation and runbooks
Requirements
Technical stack needed for this mission.
- Hands-on MLOps consulting or migration project experience
- Strong Python and experience with Airflow or Prefect
- Familiarity with MLflow or W&B for experiment tracking
- Able to assess existing infrastructure and produce a migration plan
- Good written communication for handover documentation
