We are a 200-person technology consulting firm specialising in AI transformation engagements for enterprise clients in financial services, insurance, and healthcare operations. Our AI practice has grown from two people to fourteen in three years. That growth has been good for the business and difficult for quality control — we have more client engagements than we have senior technical leaders who can design automation systems at the reliability standard our clients require. We are creating a Senior AI Automation Architect role to close that gap. You will lead the technical design phase of our largest automation engagements: scoping what should be automated, designing the system architecture, selecting the right LLM approach, and establishing evaluation criteria before a single line of production code is written. You will work with mid-level engineers who build what you design, and with client stakeholders who are not technically literate but who will be held accountable if the system fails. Strong opinions, clear writing, and the ability to tell a client honestly when their automation idea won't work — that's the role.

Lead technical design for major client automation engagements from requirements gathering through architecture sign-off
Produce written system specifications including data flow diagrams, risk assessments, and evaluation criteria for every engagement
Review mid-level engineer implementations for architectural compliance, reliability, and production readiness
Run technical due diligence on client automation requests and flag feasibility concerns before commitments are made
Contribute to internal IP: reusable automation frameworks, evaluation templates, and LangChain workflow patterns

Background in financial services, insurance, or healthcare operations is genuinely valuable
