Senior AI Clinical Coding Audit Product Lead

About the role

Our clients include large US hospital systems and regional payers, and every one of them loses money to coding errors in both directions: undercoding leaves revenue on the table, overcoding triggers audits. Lamion Solutions already automates parts of medical coding; we now want a product that audits coded encounters before claims go out. As product lead you'll define what that product is. You'll interview coding managers and compliance officers, decide which specialties to start with, work with our NLP team on what the models can realistically catch, and set the metrics that tell us whether we're saving clients money. Reliability and auditability are non-negotiable in this market, and you'll carry that standard into every decision.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for pre-bill coding audit
  • Run discovery with HIM directors, coders and compliance leaders at client hospitals
  • Partner with NLP engineers to scope what can be automated versus flagged for review
  • Define success metrics (denial rate, recovered revenue, audit findings) and report them to leadership

Requirements

  • Several years of product management, ideally in healthcare revenue cycle or clinical software
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and payer audit processes
  • Enough technical depth to challenge ML trade-offs and read evaluation results
  • Comfortable presenting to hospital executives
